Say hello!

Recommended Posts

Yo Damo. I used to hang around the old FB group and annoy you, now I'm here to annoy you. ;)  And I'm going to be re-retaking your classes, because things don't stay in my old head for too long.

Cheers

Rob.

Hello,

I would like to register for your tutorials on Layers and Mask and then the Levels. Have not quite figured out how to do so. I am an experienced photographer with very keen LR skills and a variety of plugins from On1, Topaz, MacPhun and Nik but PS has been a bit of mystery to me. I have set myself a goal to get proficient in PS and you come well recommended.

I live, work and photograph in Peru and wherever my travels take me.

Hello, I signed up for the RAW class in March but I haven't been able to post any anything yet.  Is there a cut off for this?  Thank you

Heaps of time yet.  Your membership lasts a year.

Hello! I am not very good with these types of forums but I will try to learn my way around. I'm looking forward to getting back into the raw, levels and layers and masks classes. Time to re-read everything for a refresh. If you are new to Damien's group or classes, I just want to say that the skills I've learned from him over the last couple years have allowed me to improve by leaps and bounds. Don't hesitate to sign up for the classes. :)

Good Morning

New to LightRoom and Photoshop. Have been using Paintshop Pro for a couple of years. Switch over cause there seems to be more support for Adobe. Just found out about this from Facebook. I want to learn so much more about editing. Just finding the time...

Hello.

I'm a photographer in Virginia who loves Damien's classes and just about soiled myself when I saw that there is a skin class! I've registered for RAW and Levels Deluxe classes again, and will have a look around the site tomorrow to see what else is over here.

So excited to see what Damien has to offer in the Skin class!

Hi everyone, I'm new here and just signed up for the Raw Class. As of right now I'm a hobbyist wildlife and nature photographer, but my goal is to become a pet photographer. I know I have a lot to learn in both areas; pet photography and photo editing so here I am! A fellow pet photographer recommended these classes so I figured I'd give it a whirl. Looking forward to learning! :)

There are some amazing pet photographers in this community. Once you get further into the classes you'll get to see their work.

Hello everyone! Damien & Lara is has been quite a while since I dabbled in photography, but drone photograpy has brought me back! Still living in Bongeen Damien! Love this idea. Am looking forward to refreshing what you have taught previously & doing your newer courses. Thanks!

Hello, and thanks Damien! I like the forum idea. I'm old school, so I'm comfortable with this format. Still on the wait list for your classes, but excited to be a part of this group. :D

Just emailed you.

Hello all!

I've been posting lately, but thought I would finally introduce myself. My name is Kris and I am from Kansas City.  About 20 years ago I was into B&W film photography (in high school). I loved it. About 7 or 8 years ago I bought my dSLR to have a "nice" camera. I had intentions of "getting into it" back when I purchased the camera, but life always found a way to get in the way.

Fast forward to November 11th my wife and I had our baby girl. I got six weeks off work in paternity leave. I spent the entire time my baby was sleeping by reading and learning everything I could about Lightroom (I know - I see the light now... ACR all the way!  You got me.).  Eventually, I was referred to Damien's courses after posting a photo in a photography facebook group (thank you Sue Morris if you are reading this!). So far my experience has been nothing short of amazing. I've grown so much in the past two'ish months and I know after I take levels (and eventually the skin and the sharpening classes) I will have a great foundation. So thank you first to Sue for guiding me here.  And, second, thank you Damien for such thorough classes and honest feedback!

Lastly, I am a huge Royals (major league baseball) and Jayhawks (college basketball / football) fan.  Hence my username.

-Kris

hi

I'm peta from Bilbao, Sue Morris poached me from the Northrups - you should give her commission Damien. I haven't signed up for a course as yet, still pondering which one will serve me the best as I have many years experience with photoshop, going back to version 1.1. Been taking photographs seriously for 30 years. The thing I like about lightroom is its non-destructive way of working - I am curious to see how one can undo a crop in a PSD file, this time next year. Adjustment layers is something that I need to learn more thoroughly, so I will probably start there.

Thanks to Sue for the tip - I look forward to happy times here.

all the best
