Say hello!

Hey Damien & Team,

I have always been a long term lurker on the Facebook group but never took my photography seriously until recently. I am excited to learn bridge and everything that follows. Thankyou!

Hello from Texas. I joined your FB group about a month ago. After absorbing information and being challenged to do the 30 day Challenge I am starting out here today. So far I have started with the quick exert of Bridge and now need to start that class and of course the rest follow. Ive been a photographer since 2011 and started out with Elements, then to Photoshop, then to Lightroom for the past several years. I'm really looking forward to learning and growing here.

Thanks for all you do!

Katie

Hello again, did nearly all your classes in 12 months, then I have had nearly 12 months off, now I am ready to pretty well do them all again, as there is so much info in here  that not everything sticks first time around, and after playing for the last 12 mths I may have more of an idea about certain things in photoshop now that I had no idea of before.  We have also bought another property up at Einasleigh in North Queensland, so lot mort photo opportunities when I go up there.  Excited to be back learning.

Hello all!

I’ve  been shooting for 30 plus years and while my lab prints look pretty great, I’ve had my finger on Damiens Print Sharpening class for years and today decide to jump in. Looking forward to seeing my images really come alive and also to have a firm understanding of print quality and a quick and universal process to apply to all my images that I’m sending out to my lab.
I’m tired of always saying “ I hope these prints come back as intended “.

Cheers,

Jules

Hi all! I'm from the Dallas, Texas area. When I first downloaded the whole Adobe bundle I was somewhat used to photoshop, new to Bridge, and new to Lightroom. I spent hours trying to figure out where the hell to send(?) my photos in Lightroom. Even typing this, I have no clue if Lightroom and Bridge are linked up at all, if some of my photos in Lightroom are lost in space forever, or what happened to the several photos I had to spontaneously save to One Drive because I had no f-ing clue what I was doing in Lightroom. Looking forward to reading about using Bridge efficiently because I'm at my wits end. Cheers.

Another FB group lurker here. 👋 Thanks for making this available. I’m a graphic designer by trade and a volunteer retoucher for Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep. My ultimate goal is to learn proper skin retouching, and I’m also looking forward to learning how other people use Photoshop for photography.

Hello.

i came across of AskDamien on fb awhile back. I’m a part time photographer and a full time cook. I’m extremely curious as to why Damien preaches Bridge and not Lightroom. I cannot wait and am excited to learn!

I've been following on facebook for quite some time and debating the switch from lightroom, but change is scary and hard. Yet here I am. So far my reaction has been dismay that I didn't do this a year or more ago when I found you. Thanks.

Hello from Indiana!   I’ve been wanting to take these classes for a long time, & now that my son’s wedding is done I plan to start. Spring/summer are fast approaching, which is golf weather for us, and we have another wedding celebration in the fall…and a lot of house repairs to finish before then, but I plan to spend at least a little time each week progressing through the classes. I am NOT an intuitive user of technology, and have mostly self-taught myself PS after starting with PS Elements many years (decades?) ago. I’m in a photo challenge group where LR use is required, and all I can do is ask myself WHY? There are so many similarities in the editing tools, but for me that’s where the similarities end. Looking forward to all I can learn from these classes!

Hi all. Happy to be here - came here from the Facebook group. I am a wildlife photographer-turned-portrait photographer, here to learn as much as I can about editing. Thanks for offering these classes - I know they will be a big help!

Hi Damien!

I just signed up and can't wait to start taking your classes. I am self taught with photography and editing (on LightRoom) and often get frustrated with a vision I have that I can't quite make happen post production. Once I am able to change my CC subscription to Photo Shop I'll start classes!

Hello :) I thought I replied to this thread already but I can't find it. My name is Mckeen and I started doing photography when I was in fourth grade. I've always wanted to make a career out of photography but I know my editing/post processing could be better and I want to take it to the next level!

Hello! My name is Sonya, I am starting from scratch, with very little editing knowledge. I was referred by another photographer as she wants me to learn the proper way to edit from the beginning instead of learning bad habits. I’m looking forward to going through all the classes one by one.

Happy New Year! Stoked to be here. I've been in and out of photography/film since I was a kid and finally letting myself invest more into mastering editing in Photoshop. Looking forward to learning!
