  1. Correct! It is a desktop. Four slots with two occupied, but one of the sticks no longer works. I’m just going to replace them both. Sorry for the late reply — I have a newborn who has been keeping me busy lately!
  2. This is super helpful! I have a Dell XPS 8940 with 32GB RAM. According to Crucial it is DDR4 and 320MHz. I’m well aware that my graphics card isn’t up to today’s standards, but I’m not able to afford a new computer at the moment. It’s worked well enough in the past, and I connect my laptop to my monitor when I need to process massive files (that graphics card is a beast).
  3. Hey Brian! I need to replace the RAM in my desktop. How much does the memory speed and memory technology matter? Is there a major difference between 3200MHz and 3600MHz? Should I go for DDR5 or will DDR4 cut it? I'm planning on buying 2x32GB.
  4. Hey Brian, I'm in the market for a laptop and I'm seeing several with the NVIDIA RTX A2000. What are your thoughts on these compared to the GeForce RTX 3050 and higher? (I have read all of your pinned posts and the laptops I'm looking at meet or exceed your qualifications) Thanks!
  5. My bad -- client changed her mind and went with a different photo, but I used the same method and it turned out great *chef's kiss*
  6. LOVE these tutorials. Thank you for the direction! Time to get to work.
  7. I like the evenness color, but the sweaty areas and mottling definitely stand out a lot. Switching the blend mode of the hue/sat 1 layer to Luminosity helps some, but definitely looks flat compared to Soft Light.
  8. Without thinking I answered the calibration question about my home monitor, but I am traveling and editing on a friend's factory calibrated monitor. I did, however, bring pro prints to match and they are dead on. I apologize...clearly I am a hot mess today.
  9. My Windows desktop is calibrated and I have an exact print match.
  10. Yes. The forum won't allow me to upload it though
  11. Ah! Sorry, didn't realize I had uploaded a cropped version. Here is the uncropped
  12. Hey Damien, I'm working on a black background portrait of this horse who has a severely sunbleached coat on his neck/body and some sweaty patches. I'm struggling to even out and darken his neck/body to match his cheek. How would I go about doing this? Thanks! My attempt: SOOC: How his coat normally looks:
