  1. True, the screenshot may show me landing on the hand tool, but only after moving up and down the toolbar trying each while using the spacebar to try it after restarting. Here is another screenshot after rebooting not only PS but the computer and the spacebar is working to bring up the hand tool no matter which tool I'm selecting on the left. (for now at least) No other settings or preferences have been changed. Thank you again for responding to this.
  2. The hand tool is not showing up to move my file by pressing the spacebar. Usually this happens mid edit and I'm sure it is caused by something I'm doing without my awareness. Normally I find a stopping point, save my work and restart Photoshop. It's happened twice in the past few weeks now but I don't know what causes it. A glitch, or am I inadvertently touching a combination of keys that change a setting. Added screenshots of my workspace, the first is when the hand tool was not working by using the spacebar, and the second is after restarting PS, and the spacebar is working. My details: I have a Mac desktop running 15.1.1 and Photoshop 26.2.0. It is 3 years old, and has 80GB of RAM. Its hard drive has 700GB free out of 1000GB, and it runs a AMD Radeon Pro 5300 4 GB graphics card. The last time I shut down was last night. I run a cleanup program about once a week. Adobe CC programs are updated.
