  1. Ok. I ordered them again! I will let you know how they look as soon as I get them. Appr. 4-5 days...
  2. The first set was photos from 2023 which I first edited on my laptop and then I openend them again with the new computer and screen and changed the editing to my liking. Then I ordered the prints. The pictures where shot in sunny weather at the sand beach close to the water. Shiny and bright surrounding. The second set I edited on the new computer & screen. The pictures were taken at a kindergarten. Sunny day but I found shade under a blooming tree. Green grass, green leaves, shade. Maybe the sunny pictures were too blue, too but it did not seem as bad because of the light colours and the yellow sand. The pictures with a lot of green and shade look way more blue and dark. I stared at the prints and my screen a lot yesterday....I think the first set is slightly blue and also darker than the screen. But the difference is not as big so that I was happy with them. I knew the brightness had to be less bright than the screen because it is paper and not lit like a screen. The second set seems darker and not so bright because it has more dark colours I guess. Do you think this could be it?? Or have I been staring too long and am making things up now ? I took the photo that looks worst and edited it again a little warmer with the screen at 6500k and also again at 5000 K. Waiting for the prints now.
  3. So for that lab I change the monitor to 5000k and then the prints should be ok. Right? I will try! Thanks for your time & your help.
  4. Thank you! I understand but I am still tied to that lab for the kindergarten/school photography.
  5. And if I have it set to 6500k and the lab wants 5000k would the pictures not be way too yellow instead of too blue ? Or am I thinking in the wrong direction?
  6. No other choice available since it is the only lab which works with the "selling software" I use for all my volume photography (kindergarten/pre school). And the previous prints were fine and came from the same lab. I ordered so many prints there and now, with the new monitor and the first time calibrating a monitor, it goes wrong. I thought now I am getting it all right. I don't get it... For other prints I use nphoto in Poland. Never had problems.
  7. The previous prints had the same colour space
  8. The lab told me to set my monitor to 90 - 120 cd/qm 5.000 kelvin (D50) Monitor-Gamma 2,2 After calibrating mine was 83 cd/qm 6500k Gamma 2.2 Should I change it to the lab wishes? They also told me to use their ICC profiles. Juist checking the previous prints.
  9. Hello Damien! I calibrated and the prints were very close to the screen. I was happy. Now I had new pictures . Same screen, same lab.. The prints look horrible. Too cold/blue, too dark. Where did it go wrong?? Where do I start now?
  10. Hello Damien! The prints are here. The screen is warmer (more yellow and magenta) and has more contrast compared to the prints, the colors are more vivid. The prints look flat in comparison. Is this only because of the sreen/paper difference or will it change to the better through calibration? What are the next steps now? Do I have to do anything with the ColorNavigator program or do I only follow your calibration instructions for a Spyder calibrator (Spyder x2 Elite) ? I could not find any information on Auto brightness for my screen. So I guess it does not have this and I do not need to bother about it. Tnanks for your help! Sandra
  11. Hello Damien! Thanks for asking! Yes, the Spyder is here. But I am still waiting for my prints. The lab is slow. But I will let you know when I have them.
  12. I had to research.. I installed the colornavigator 7 and it is compatible with Spyder Pro. The spyder will be in the mail on Tuesday and I will try to calibrate then. And now I really have to go. Support Software and Drivers Download Software:ColorNavigator 7 - Color Management Software 【Description】 [Ver.7.2.3] - CG2400S supported - Spyder Pro, specbos 2501 supported
  13. I will have to go to a family meeting in a minute but I will return tonight and check my messages. (it is noon here now). Thank you so much for your time. I appreciate it. And I am thinking about taking your classes but I am not sure if my english is good enough and my PS will be in German.
  14. Oh, I did not know that and of course I have no idea if it is compatible . How can I find out? And does that mean that I will not nee the spyder?
  15. Oh, do not be sorry about it. I totally understand and I needed a while to press the "buy now" button. So I should just follow the instructions for a previous Spyder model? I have a windows desktop PC and a Eizo color edge CS2731.
  16. Hello Damien, I just ordered the Datacolor SpyderPro which you recommend in the "What to buy" article. Which one of your Calibration instructions should I follow? The SpyderPro is not in the list. Thank you so much for all the information you provide. I really appreciate it. ( and please excuse any funny language because English is not my native language) Greetings, Sandra
