  1. Oh wow! Thanks Damien! Will try that myself too!
  2. I don't remember Damien, I chose a very low number. 20-40 I guess. Otherwise, these are from a d800e.
  3. Here they are.. I would like to to remove the chair legs as seen in the crop. What's the best way to do it?
  4. I removed the partial distraction on the left. Enclosed are before and after shots. How did I do? Do I have any obvious repeating patterns. Not sure if I should blur the area a bit? The chair legs on the upper right are proving to be tough. Can't figure out the best area to extract and place there.
  5. Completely agree Damien!!
  6. All that masking scares me !!
  7. Thanks Damien. I would like to begin taking still life pictures such as the ones in these links. And I do intend to print them going forward. Are these digital backdrops and textures? Or could they be real physical ones? I ask because there is so much finesse in the completed product and the backdrops vary too! Sorry these are generic links but I thought it would be easier to judge seeing a range of pictures by the same photographer. https://500px.com/tskorokhod https://www.google.co.in/search?q=Irene+Mosina&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjH_uvyiarLAhXWBY4KHeKhDkkQsAQIIg&biw=2560&bih=1315#imgrc=OFcAzwt4wBfy9M%3A
  8. The prints definitely have skin look more yellower. I've checked both with the curtains closed as well as opened up. Also, whites in my B/W prints look blown out.
  9. I have added a couple of texture layers to a photo using Blend If and then used a couple of clipped adjustments to modify the textures a bit. Also added a subtle vignette to balance tones. Is there a better / more preferred way to do this? Attached are screenshots of the Before and After.
  10. I have had to move my desktop to a different room at home. I edit during the day and I should say this space has an ample amount of sunlight streaming in with pale yellow curtains. Should I change to darker heavier window coverings and update the lighting to something around 4000-4200k as Damien mentions? I'd like to start out right. My previous attempt at calibrating led to prints that were too yellow. I will be calibrating with an Xrite, using a relatively new Dell monitor.
