I have a PC laptop running windows 10 and Photoshop CC. It is under 2 years old, and has 16GB of RAM. Its hard drive has 3.23GB free out of 118GB. The last time I shut down was earlier today. I have never run a cleanup program.

I have no idea how I only have 3.23 GB free, I frequently delete things that I haven't been using. No idea what on earth is taking up all that space.

Today while going through photos I began receiving an error message that said: 
"An unrecoverable error occurred while accessing the scratch disk. 
This is usually caused by a corrupted disk format or a hardware  problem such as a failing disk drive or bad cable.
Photoshop will now exit."
Photoshop then closes, and I lose whatever work I was doing. 
This just started today and has happened 3 times. I  use photoshop CC, and I have an ASUS laptop. Any ideas?

Disregard! After some hardcore googling, I found out that some Asus laptops have a 'video enhancement' software that is utter crap for color accuracy. Uninstalled it and I have a good match now. 

Hi Damien, 

I just went to re-calibrate my screen after way too long today, and the result is so much worse. It's horribly warm. I've retried it multiple times to no avail. I've got all my lights off/blinds closed, have made 100% sure it's flat against the screen, and nothing is working. Any suggestions? 
One thing to mention, I wanted to attempt changing my monitor's color settings as mentioned in the tutorial (warm, cool, normal, etc.) but I can't seem to find these settings anywhere on my computer. I've tried color settings, color management, and display settings and none of them have these options.

Hi Damien, 
I am trying to figure out the best way to remove a patch of sunflare in this image. I wanted flare to make it dramatic and I want to keep most of it, but there's one patch that just looks like an ugly smudge. Suggestions for best way to remove it? 
First pic is the full image, 2nd has the area I am referring to circled in red.

Nope, no sharpening. 
Just sent the RAW file. I apologize in advance if the RAW processing is horrendous. 

To clarify - Just realized that the uploaded file to this post is the JPEG image, which does have some sharpening. The TIF image has no sharpening, and no sharpening was performed until all other editing was done. 

Hi Damien, 

I took your RAW and levels classes years ago when I did family photography. I had to give up photography for a while, and am now back at it, but have transitioned to landscapes, which have always been an area of supreme difficulty for me. I remember the gist of the classes pretty well, but have been finding landscape photography to be an entirely different beast with completely different challenges, the biggest of which for me so far is haloing. 

As you can see, the haloing in this image is atrocious. I have tried to fix it for HOURS. I have made my mask selections incredibly carefully, but no matter what I do it persists. Any suggestions? 

Also, is this photo enough of a disaster that you recommend taking the classes over again? I've been considering it for a few months now.

The brightness is pretty good, but the colors are way off. Particularly, the greens/yellows. I am looking at an image with some trees in it, the trees on the print are a bright green/yellow compared to my screen in which they are a much darker green/grey. 

Hello Damien, 

I just switched over to a brand new fancy ASUS laptop. I had previously been using a Toshiba with my ColorMunki X-rite and it always worked fine and would match my prints well. I am trying to calibrate on the new laptop and my prints and screen are quite different. Here is what I have tried: 

-updated to the most recent software

-ensured all lights were off/blinds closed, device flat against screen

-Restarted computer and tried again

While the 2nd time I calibrated the results did look different, they still do not match the prints well at all. Is there anything I can do besides just keep trying?
