I too am thinking its a hardware issue. I have calibrated again. I also ran COLORCPL and switched between 3 profiles. The one I've been using for the last month, the one I created earlier today that was fine until I rebooted and the one I just created out of desperation to get this fixed. All 3 look the same. All of my photos that looked fine yesterday with a saturation adjustment layer set to 8 or 9 now need to be up around 20 to look anywhere near the same. What I don't understand is how my SpyderX is calibrating the desaturated screen and telling me its displaying 100% or sRGB and 99% or Adobe RGB accurately. Shouldn't the calibration come up with some sort of anomaly if I have a hardware issue?

So I'm having a few problems with my calibration. I've calibrated my screen today and was happy with the results. Photos look good and match my prints. Photoshop started playing up (wasn't displaying levels data after making quick selection and levels adjustment layer) so I restarted my PC and now everything looks hideously washed out and desaturated. I've run through your sRGB trouble shooter which tells me my colour profile is set correctly. I've run the SpyderX software to make sure it hasn't mysteriously swapped to a different profile but it is still set to the profile I created earlier today (that looked fine). Do you have any suggestions on what to check next?

I'm a little confused. On my screen when viewing in PS the moire hasn't changed at all after the channel mixer layer has been applied.

I swear I've entered the correct numbers. Where am I going wrong?

I knew as soon as this guy walked in that his shirt was going to be a problem. Can I please have some help removing the moire?

Hi there, I’m currently using a BenQ SW270C monitor that I love but I am about to go on an extended holiday and don’t want to pack my good monitor in the car to take with me. There is a BenQ G2400WD for sale second hand in my area but I don’t quite know enough about the technical jargon to understand how it will compare to my current SW270C. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Ahh, so the file needs to be 6mm longer and 6mm higher than it is currently? also they just got back to me. They use RGB.

I'm actually not 100% sure what that means. I assumed it may result in me losing 3mm around the edge of the print which really won't change a lot. Or will it?

I keep getting an unknown server error when uploading. Is there a limit on file dimensions etc? I'm only trying to upload a 3.2mb version but it is 222cm by 22cm

The design is only photos. This is all they have told me. ”ARTWORK: Print Ready Artwork to be Supplied by Client. Accepted Formats are PDF with Text converted to outlines and 3mm Bleed required to all sides. Any Graphic Design Required will be Charged at $100 per hour + gst. PROOF: Yes - Online TURNAROUND: Standard (5+ Days) PRINT Full Colour Print 1440dpi on Agfa UV Flatbed x 1” Sounds like I might need to ask a few more questions.

I am about to send a design off to my local sign writer so that it can be printed and put on the side of my car. They’re asking for the design (which contains a number of photos) to be submitted as a PDF. Is there any difference in print quality between a high quality JPG and a PDF?

I wasn’t sure where to ask this question so hopefully it fit in here ok. I have a newborn shoot coming up tomorrow and in my client information I ask for no thin striped clothing to be worn. The client has sent me through this photo asking if the jumpsuit lines will cause issues. I’m not so worried about the blues lines but the material pattern has me worried. Is there any way to predict moire problems?

This is my first attempt. I have a few questions as this is the first time I've ever used a channel mixer layer. The area where the moire was now has a slight yellowing to it since the channel mixer layer was applied (and masked). Is this normal? Which one of your classes would teach me about using the channel mixer?

I have never come across this in one of my photos before. Is the "tiger print" pattern on this lady's chest moire? And if so how does one go about improving/removing it?

Ahh, so that the sheet is moving further away from the lighting each time and more likely to change due to influence from other lighting sources bleeding in? Yes, old lights are very close to true colour, new lights are not. This might sound like a silly question but if I know that a light is negatively influencing the WB by 1200/-3 can I do some simple maths and compensate for it in post?
