  1. I'm so confused. Wouldn't ALL my prints be too cool if my monitor was too warm? Why would only some of them? So if I cool my monitor down, won't it affect the other prints that look good? šŸ˜«
  2. The image is more blue than in real life, but it does show you there is a difference in the print and the monitor
  3. I know you donā€™t like iPhone shots but this shot of the print taken with my phone one depicts what my eyes see with the blue dress. The second image is from my computer.
  4. No, they don't. But both were WB'd with the sheet... The pageant photo of the girl both with her mom and full length, her dress looks blue in my print, but not on monitor. The wedding photo looks great in print...
  5. Skin tones look ok to me, especially the girl in the white dress, so if I were to warm these up, she will really look orange, won't she? I'm so frustrated because I am at a point where I have to deliver these pageant prints, the wedding, and the senior gallery. What's the quickest and most effective way to do this now?
  6. This one may have a slight blue tint, but I think its the background...
  7. The two of the girl in the white dress are the main ones that look blue. It's her dress that has a slight blue tint. The others to me look fine in print.
  8. My husband wants to get me a monitor for Christmas. So a monitor with higher resolution than 1920 will not work with my older iMac?
  9. If by print batch you mean the same order from the lab, yes. What do you mean here? You lost me.
  10. What if only SOME of the prints seem blue, and others look good? And one of my test prints where the family wore red, all of them look dark red/maroon.
  11. My test prints look a bit blue compared to my screen. What do I need to do?
  12. Thanks so much for your in-depth reply. I have decided to rent the R6 over Christmas to actually see side by side quality on my own screen before I purchase. Or I can drive two hours and see one at a bestbuy, but I want to see it with my photos. I agree with you on the 24-70. Iā€™ve been eyeing it for a while but made do with my 24-105 because lately Iā€™ve used off camera flash outdoors and havenā€™t needed wider than f4. I do plan on getting canon R for sure instead of sigma when I purchase the telephoto. That sigma was my first telephoto and has doubled almost tripled in price since I first purchased. I think I got it for $629! At that time I was using a used canon rebel which I eventually upgraded to the Canon 60D, and it eventually turned out to be a piece of crap with NO micro adjustment. I mean why?!! Thatā€™s what pushed me into full frame and the 6D mkii. My 6D is considered the lowest grade professional camera (some say not even pro at all), even though with great light and post editing I do produce good images. They just donā€™t have that pop I see with mirrorless. If I didnā€™t need the telephoto ASAP, I definitely would give it a few months before upgrading and might even have gone with the 5D mark iv and a new EF telephoto. I am only doing one more indoor shoot before the 1st of the year anyway, so I will at least wait that long to upgrade. Like you said the 70-200 is out of stock everywhere! Again, I sure appreciate the input, and I will keep you updated of my decision.
  13. I have used my current body for four years, and I know every single thing about it. Iā€™m just holding my breath until the shutter craps out on me. Also, my 12 year old sigma telephoto 70-200mm has tapped out completely. Itā€™s maxed out on micro adjustment and produced only 44 mediocre usable images out of 356 photos of my last senior shoot (overshot due to noticing the lack of sharp focus). Iā€™m looking at having to purchase a new telephoto for sure, ASAP, and I love the compression of it for portraits, so I thought if Iā€™m soon going to upgrade to mirrorless, why not do it now with R series glass. I also have four photographer friends whoā€™ve gone mirrorless, two of which have actually mentored me, and I have seen the quality of their images go up immensely. With good glass (my canon 24-105 f4), I get tack sharp images, but I still get maxed out in low light due to that aperture and iso capabilities of my 6D mark ii. I had to do a crap ton of post processing on my last pageants due to this. I did rent a 5D mark iv for a wedding (due to the dual card slots-another plus of the R6), and I did love it for sure and could tell a huge difference in the quality of my images compared to the 6D. I feel like I am due for an upgrade regardless whether I go for the 5D or the R6. I donā€™t foresee a future need for 46mp or 8K video, so I donā€™t have a desire for the R5 or the R3 for that matter, hence the reason for looking hard at the R6. So Iā€™m kind of stuck mainly because I need a telephoto like yesterday. Not that it will rush me into something, but I do need it. I have a newer version that I borrow from my sister, but I canā€™t keep doing that and wearing her crap out. Iā€™m not a borrower really and I donā€™t lend my stuff out either much. This is just where I am, so I wanted to make sure my stuff could handle the R6. I sure appreciate the lengthy and informative response. I will check out Mikeā€™s and Thomā€™s thoughts! Thanks so much.
  14. So if I get the R6 with 20mp, will I still have to upgrade? Is there more high tech stuff to worry about than the mp?
  15. Hi Brian. Iā€™m looking at either upgrading to the canon R5 (45 mp) or the R6 (20 mp). I already have the 6D mark ii (26 mp), and my computer handles those files just fine. My question is, if I were to upgrade and have double the mp, will my processor or graphics card need to be upgraded, inevitably meaning buying a new computer?
  16. 2021 Newest HP 24 Inch FHD 1080p IPS LED Ultra-Slim Monitor, AMD FreeSync, HDMI & VGA Ports, (Silver & Black), Nly 4K HDMI Cable Bundle https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08R831G3C/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_9GQSVNWN077HBVNW8P36?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 Would This work?
  17. Could that be upgraded in this computer or not worth it? Currently I am just using and old TV to watch tutorials and do the classes on.
  18. Iā€™d like my monitor to be 18ā€ high so itā€™s about same height as my iMac, but itā€™s ok if it is bigger than 21.5ā€ screen.
  19. 21.5ā€ NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 512 mb (16 gb RAM) 1600MHz DDR3
  20. iMac late 2012 with Catalina. Itā€™s been restored so itā€™s like new.
  21. Brian, what monitor would you recommend with my iMac for editing? I read to calibrate the computer for editing and use the monitor for everything else. I have the spyderx pro, so Iā€™ll do that. Just wondered what you would recommend in the 24ā€ range.
