yeah thank you! That will be Hubby's job for the evening! Thank you for your input and time!
-
Nope sadly no other room.
-
definitely the light source. Checked prints in different lighting and much better.
-
yes - but I got some blinds and dark block out curtains?
-
Thinking I need to get a lamp/different light source. As I can't do much in here (rental), we got a 4000k bulb from Bunnings yesterday and it still seems pretty warm in here. will then opt for this. and if all else fails! Chucking this freaking monitor out the window!
-
Yeah sorry - after numerous attempts to get it correct I searched in the forum for other solutions and ended up here and posted here. But I have been following the other instructions
-
yep tried the warm setting. Still red on the prints and not on the screen.
-
4 - but can give it another go.

Hi @Damien Symonds, I have now recalibrated twice. but my prints tend to be more with a red tint than what's on the screen? Any ideas on getting it correct? (I moved print labs, so got new prints). I have a Spider X Pro. I have followed your advice regarding the calibration- I have a 4000k bulb in the room etc. My brightness is very much higher than yours as per the spyder it says 120 is my target - I move it down to 100 though. I do have this colour option - it's just been set on native this entire time. But wondering if I should maybe jiggle the custom RGB sliders?

THANK YOU!

HI! Not sure if this is the correct place to ask? I am starting up with In Person Sales and looking at software where the clients can view their artwork on their walls before ordering their prints/frames. I have been looking at a few YouTube videos and it seems like it's possible to make a mockup in photoshop using their supplied room photo. But it also seems that you would need to create everything (sizes etc) from scratch every time? Other software like Fundy/Proselect offers this all to you - but eeek it's just another subscription to the endless list. Would love to hear your opinions on if this is something that's doable in PS (and how big of a learning curve it would be) or if I need to suck it up and just get one of the programs that offers it all. Thank you
-
Completely understand it. Would really like it to be as close to perfect as possible for the clients as for myself. Bulb no don't...it's a weird fixture (we tried to change it yesterday) and I am sure the rental agency won't change a 'working light'. Only other option is moving into another room/storage space-ish with no windows but it definitely has a better/whiter light that will be constant (probably answered my own question there...)

Blinds open, day time. Looks better. still doesn't match the print/screen though. So print is now "colder but still a bit dull" but not the warm/bright/vibrant I am after on the screen? (sorry I know I am sounding crazy with the yellow/warm/tones - confusing myself at the moment etc.)
-
Sorry! It's yellow probably not bad. but not great. But it is what it is. My print photo however is dull/not as bright as my screen. (example guy is wearing a white shirt on the screen/real life. But on the print it looks a shade of tan/cream.)
-
In this photo it's on the small screen. It's also how the room looks pretty much when I edit maybe a bit darker as it usually happens at night. So very yellow? Blinds drawn, light on behind me in the ceiling (I can't do much for the lighting - rental house😕 unless I get a big lamp?). I prefer how it looks on the screen - but have literally no idea how to get there in the print. The iphone pic also doesn't help my case as it looks a little bit better in real life - not so yellow. The brightness on the small screen is 79 ish. I can lower it even more? Thank you for all your input and help!!!
-
Sorry that was just a quick click on picture - clearly not smart. Usually in lightroom - moving awy from that now to Bridge/photoshop? Or is there a different way? Here's a photo in Photoshop view?
-
Whooooohooo! Thank goodness something is working after all the it dramas 😅 I calibrated them both - it seems like the smaller one is a little bit better? not a lot. But they both seem much brighter/yellower and (what I want) than the actual print🥴 (Sorry for the phone pic - don't know if that helps me)

Scared to say ...but yes?

COMPUTER CRISIS and limited options

Hi Brian! Thank you for the in-depth answer really appreciate it. The computer (HP) was doing a-okayish and then decided yesterday while I was busy with @Damien Symonds Bridge Class (BTW - SO COOL!!!!) that it would start going craycray again - see screenshot - so it's finally decided that it's going back and I am choosing a different model. I will be taking the Asus Rog and hoping for the best. Thank you again! -

Thank you for this. Mac is out then. Thank you for taking the time - Harvey Norman came up with another option. Option 1 - windows 11 preloaded....eeeek Option 2 the 512GB again.... https://www.harveynorman.com.au/rog-strix-ga15-r7-3700x-16gb-1tb-ssd-rtx3060-12gb-gaming-desktop.html $2799 happy to do at same price so no difference to switch and RAM would go across. https://www.harveynorman.com.au/predator-orion-3000-i7-11700-16gb-512gb-ssd-1tb-hdd-rtx3060ti-8gb-gaming-desktop.html? Similar to this one but specs are as below.. i7, 11700, 16gb (standard), 512GB + 1TB, RTX3060 12GB graphics, W11 $300 EXTRA $2998 RAM would go across fine. Edit - we did upgrade to 32gb so that's the RAM she's referring to -

Rather MSI over Macbook? Mac is super expensive for exactly the same thing? but again I have limited options available due to store credit
