  1. Yes - the 2nd is very cold and dark. I have since warmed it up a bit and lightened it some. Regarding calibration - yes and no. I attempted to calibrate my DNP home printer until I received my labs calibration prints, only to find that it isn't recommended This particular image will be printed on my DNP as well as viewed online. Mom may print it elsewhere, but I can't really control that.
  2. First time posting since the F.B. move. Hope I'm within the guidelines. I was asked, last minute to "bring my camera" to a get-together for a head-shot (for a local theater audition). Did what I could and the mom insisted on paying me, so I want to give her the best image, given the situation. The first shot is SOOC (jpg - sorry :/) The second is adjusted (Camera Raw Filter; Auto White Balance, exposure, brightness). To me, the 2nd is better, but the 1st is warmer and preferred by a member of my family. How do you know what is "correct"? Is it all in the histogram or is it subjective? I do plan on taking Damien's classes. In line for the Raw class now. I will follow with the other classes. All kindly-delivered advice appreciated. (I'll take the mean stuff, too - I just won't appreciate it
