  1. This is what I ordered last time-
  2. Hi Brian - I upgraded my RAM a few years ago to 32gb and I’m ready to go for 64. Do you have a current recommendation for brands? Thanks!
  3. Hello Brian! When Photoshop and Bridge are open, my Magic Mouse sticks and lags. I will try to select multiple files in Bridge and it will just grab a file and won't let go until I click it again multiple times. It doesn't happen when these programs are closed, so I don't think it's a problem with the mouse. Have you heard of this before?
  4. EDIT - I think I've figured out what I will do. There's a ton of great information in all of the other questions that have been asked about this. Thanks!
  5. THANK YOU for the quick response! And -thank you for the link to the exact kit. Is this the same thing at B&H? (For a couple bucks cheaper?) Also, the Apple tutorial for my model iMac doesn't mention any special tools or anti-static anything... do I need the wrist strap and special tools and anti-static mat?
  6. I just saw the thread on Facebook about RAM being cheap right now - my iMac runs *fine*. But I wish it moved *fast*. I've attached what the scanner found. I would love a recommendation for which configuration of Crucial RAM to buy.
  7. I am looking for a cloud service (I think). I have one external hard drive on site. I keep a backup in a safety deposit box. But, I would like to streamline my storage process. Brian, could you possibly explain how you do backups (I’ve never used time machine, only manually saved files I need to keep ?) and your storage workflow for files? I’ve read about systems that do both and where I can access files from anywhere, if needed?
  8. Thanks. I'll try Dropbox. That's what I was looking for.
  9. When I import photos from my camera, I now use the card reader and bypass Photos altogether using Bridge (thanks to multiple posts in Ask Damien). This question is actually regarding importing photos from my iPhone to my Mac. Is there a way to skip Photos when my iPhone is plugged in - to import iPhone photos straight to a folder on my desktop or hard drive? I see an option to un-click "Copy Items to the Photos library" under Preferences. Is this a separate action from above? I am wondering if this is copying my files and creating duplicates that I do not want. Should I deselect this?
