The Cloud company has apologized and said they take responsibility. They’ve asked me to download some file from the cloud and send the zip file back to them in an email, which I’ve done. The development team is looking into it, but haven’t heard an update in several days. They didn’t have any answers for why the service backed up only jpegs and not psd files or why there are xmp files. In my thinking the service should have backed up the psd files at the same time the jpegs were since they were in specific folders with sub folders for each type of file ( masters, print files, web files). Masters are nowhere to be found.
