  1. yes of course, if you need a higher res one then let me know. if you do want to show kids faces, then i can ask the parents.
  2. oh my goodness, you are genius. i've used your settings and had a play and done it on a few other photographs. Damien, which class is this type of thing taught in please?
  3. wow thank you. I've downloaded the psd and am now studying it and will try it on the bigger image.
  4. how how annoying i've titled this post Charlie! what a dufus i am, please any Admin, feel free to change that.
  5. Hello there I've read this post - which looks fab, but the psd file has expired and i can't see how to report it. I have a similar baby drool / dribble problem. Here is a 700 x 700 px crop and here is also the whole file. I haven't gotten around to editing the drool on the face yet, but i can cope with this ok, it's the drool on the pink top that is my problem. I would really appreciate any pointers.
  6. are you talking about the background on the darker image, and how much i've masked off around her head and how i've created a circle around her head? If yes, then thank you for pointing that out, it does perhaps need a bit of tweaking.
  7. yes of course, here is the photo we were working with, which i really like, but i think my version is slightly bluer, but that seems to be coming from the texture. and i've also added another i've been playing with using the same method. i'm loving it.
  8. i've been playing, i'm really loving it. I think i need to make some more textures, do you have any guidance / knowledge on which types of textures go with which types of images? ie: does a darker texture go better with a darker background, and a lighter texture go better with a lighter background?
  9. fab, thank you Damien, i'll be trying this tomorrow to see how it works and then i'll try it a few other photos.
  10. Hello, i'm just having a go at this. did you mask the texture onto the background only? and leave the face clear? and did you do anything to her skin at all?
  11. Wow, that's fantastic, i shall now go in and have a play with adding a couple of layer levels. I love those colours.
  12. Yes i do have a few, i've taken a few textures myself to experiment with, which one did you use?
  13. Thank you Damien, i really like the overall colour and the look of the textured background. what did you do? did you do anything to her skin at all?
  14. i've lowered the exposure slightly and now there is no clipping
