  1. Yes, they're pretty close...the skinniness look good and match my screen pretty well, but the backgrounds are off as they were with my prints from Bay Photo.
  2. So, I ordered new prints from another lab (ProDPI), and I have the same problem...so it must be something with my monitor, right? I just got this monitor, although I've had it long enough that I doubt I can return it. Frustrated because I don't know what to do next. Should I just play with the RGB sliders and reduce the reds?
  3. I am a Mac user, but have a ViewSonic monitor (VP2770-LED) attached to a Mac-mini, so am not dealing with a Mac screen. I've calibrated multiple times, and have ordered test prints from Bay Photo, my lab of choice. My prints are close, but the backgrounds on my photos are off. My subjects look pretty good, but the backgrounds look green, when on my screen they appear either blue/black, or reddish, depending on the photo. I've attached photos of a few prints and my screen, showing the color variation in my backgrounds (hopefully you can see the difference). I've tried adjusting my RGB colors individually, but can't seem to get it right. I'm going to try the trick of reducing all the RGB sliders to a lower percentage in an attempt to have the brightness of my screen match my prints (because I've already reduced the brightness of my screen to 0%), but that seems to be a separate issue. I loaded Bay Photos ICC profile, but when I view it in PS, I don't see any color shift when I view the photos under their profile. Not sure what to do from here.
