  1. I haven't had a chance to do anything with this yet, as we have had family here for the week. I would love to see the PSD please.
  2. Thank you! I will read through these and give it a try.
  3. Shot on Chroma Key paper and cut out with EZ Green Screen 5. I had no idea you've said not to do that. I don't recall it ever being mentioned in any of the classes I have taken. I used LR and then photoshop to run the filter to cut them out (I then had to add to the mask by hand, because with there being two of them, the didn't fit on my backdrop very well.)
  4. I would like to create a plain black backdrop for this photo. I have some digital backdrops that I am using on some of these and those look great, but I want some of them to just have a plain black backdrop. Not sure where to begin. Just using a color layer looks awful.
  5. Awesome! I learned a lot of new things through doing this, thank you so much!
  6. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, but after following the video step by step (even making a noise pattern), it looks great in PS. No stripes. Then when I post here, the stripes are back.
  7. Oh my gosh! I forgot all about that! (I even have the video paused at that part in another window!) Doing it now.
  8. Wow! That made a world of difference from using the opacity. Thank you!! Here it is.
  9. I can't figure out where to go from here. I turned the layer opacity down to 50 so I could see the line of the veil and I traced it (using my mouse and shift) with a 10% brush at size 10 (is that too small?). But now I can't fill it in smoothly. If I use a small brush, it's blotchy and if I use a big brush it goes over the line. Not sure where to go from here....
  10. That's what I meant...didn't know the words. Thank you. I'll look at the settings.
  11. No it doesn't...hmmm. It must be how quickly I tap the tablet I am thinking?? Like bleeding if I tap too long...maybe?
  12. Not sure, I'll give it try right now.
  13. This is an example. It goes from thin to thick and then thick to thin. Maybe I am not using the right sized brush?
  14. Also, now that I've posted and see the thumbnail (funny how that always works), I can see that there is more work to do up at the top too. I think I selected a little incorrectly when making the gradient layer.
  15. Still working on this..... I used the gradient method and have masked her arm, hair, and dress at 100%. (Practicing using that shift key, I am a little messy with it. For some reason it changes thickness and I am not sure why). I am getting ready to do the veil, but before I start, do you have any suggestions on the opacity of the brush?
  16. I am working on this. I am really struggling to get a clean line for masking off the veil. It's so faint and my mask painting is terrible. Is there a better option for masking?
  17. Yes, but I am not doing very well at it. So should I clone the wall over the veil as well and then brush it off with a lower opacity brush?
  18. This is my first attempt, which is awful! The veil looks too fake.
  19. So we've decided the door needs to be removed I am guessing the best way to do this is to duplicate the layer and clone the wall over the door and then mask it off of her??
