  1. Bloody day job cutting into my time haha, i've just shown her and waiting for a response to see if she is keen on the latest.
  2. Maybe keep the rug and ill keep it on the whiter side rather than yellow and keep the background and rug meeting visible like the original but ill straighten it more. What do you suggest? Personally i like the seemless background look but i dont think she is liking the change.
  3. Maybe a grey - not quite as dark as the one i tried to do maybe a bit lighter than that? On the same level as the original in the grey areas. Im trying to get a modern background that i can do for all 3x photos so hoping to keep it nice and neutral in colour.
  4. How does this look? Ive just been informed she thinks its too pale. Is there a chance you can show me your take on a dark background?
  5. Thats ok, i did your levels class years ago so will have a go at it with what knowledge i know so far.
  6. Would you recommend levels to bring it back down? The clipping is on the face, do the hands and leg look decent?
  7. Hi Damien, you sent me a quote but i cant afford to pay for all of them at the moment so im back to trying to finish them off myself again lol. These photos will be the death of me! Is the fur looking white and less yellow now? How does the skin and everything look?
  8. How does this look as a finished product? Is there anything you would do different or add? Ive taken the yellow out now. Would you mind showing me how to approach the light background and fur with the first photo?
  9. How does this look as a finished product? Is there anything you would do different or add? Ive taken the yellow out now.
  10. Ive selected non/other because i calibrated a year ago with a i1display i think. Havent updated this yet.
  11. I think the rug looking whiter would be great. Can you see any pink in the background or is it looking a fairly neutral grey to you?
  12. I like the look of the light one you showed me but then i cant get it to look right once ive gone through and finished editing the contrast in the photo and colour correction etc. It seems as if the yellow comes out in the rug and then the background is alot more grey or pink. Is this what you are seeing?
  13. If you can show me how it will look on the same photo thats the one im having the most trouble with. Im struggling with the hair if i am to make it them all on the dark background but then im trying to decide on what looks better light or dark background for all of them. I'm trying to edit them in the usual process with raw and then colour correct them so and fix contrast etc etc. but its looking so odd to me. This is an example of what i've done so far.
  14. Hi Damien i know you helped me with this already but im wondering if you wouldnt mind showing me how to achieve the same look on a dark background ive provided?
  15. Yes i like that. The lighter background will suit the house and walls when she hangs them again as its in whites, greys and wooden floor boards which arent dark either.
  16. Sorry this has taken a few days my day job was getting me home too late, ive got some of the cream towel i have do any of these look like they will work?
  17. I have a cream towel I can use for the background and ill go a little further back and higher this time, will do it after my day job finishes this arvo, ta :-)
  18. Unfortunately not, was planning on adding a texture and masking it off babies. Would that still work?
  19. Just took some more with the scarf removed. How about this one?
  20. Will any of these work? I dont have any cream fur or blankets could only find a scarf so put that in just incase it helped.
  21. Ok no worries, ill try set something up and post the "background" pic when i'm done, thanks chat soon.
  22. Hi Damien, I currently dont have that sort of set up available as i normally photograph outside but haven't been shooting for quite a while. My partner's mother came to me and asked if i can restore or clean them up at all and i thought to redo the background and make it all consistent and modern. I'm not sure how i would achieve the lighting to mimic all three photos or is that not such a huge issue? I dont suppose there is a way to do this without physically setting something up? Would it make it far more difficult to do without the new background set up? I might go and have a play and see if i can work something out with natural light it might help me achieve some shadowing to use maybe.
