Thank you. I'll be taking this list to the store with me

Oh ok not sure why i was thinking the specs should be different if I was looking for a desktop vs a laptop lol. Off to the store I go
Thanks for your help!
-
Oops sorry I meant what would you suggest if I went with a desktop. I see a lot of suggestions for the dell 8900, unfortunately the store I'd like to buy from doesn't carry it. I can go to the big box store if need be, just prefer the littler guy.

I'm not a gamer and I don't edit video. What do you suggest? ?
-
The reason for the laptop is primarily space followed by portability. For editing purposes I'll be using my desktop monitor. If I can work out my space issues I may go desktop instead.

While you are at it, buy one of these:

Have you scrolled through this subforum? I know there have been at least a few threads where Brian has just said "here, buy this laptop."
I took a quick scroll through but nothing caught my eye. I found an old post on the fb group with links. I think the first one Brian suggested is one of them. I'll take a better look in this forum and check out the ones Brian suggested.

I'm thinking about upgrading my laptop (I have a new IPS monitor to connect to it). I am so computer illiterate when it comes to the specs. Can you please make it simple for me; min RAM, is there a particular graphics card, i don't know what else lol. Or are there any laptops you can suggest? I see there are recommended monitors in the what to buy section but nothing for the computer itself. Thanks in advance!

I'm glad you guys are here. Thank you!

So I should crack a beer and install FastStone?

I need a stiff drink. I tried to find that info online. I even called Adobe but they just directed me to their help forum.

I had this issue when I first downloaded Bridge and I never resolved it but haven't done much since. Today I'm trying to resolve the issue and I'm not sure what to do next. I removed everything Adobe from my computer except Elements 12 and then downloaded Bridge again and I'm still getting the error "Bridge's parent application is not active. Bridge requires that a qualifying product has been launched at least once to enable this feature." Should I remove/install Elements?

My prints are a little warmer with more pink I would say. Funny I've been playing with it and I just manually adjusted my contrast, ran the calibration again and it prompted me to adjust my contrast. Great. Then I got to the brightness and nothing I did would make the yellow line move.
-
To clarify, it doesn't skip over contrast adjustments but it doesn't ask me to manually adjust the contrast.
-
I just calibrated my new monitor and my Colormunki didn't prompt me to adjust my contrast, it skipped right to the brightness. I followed your instructions step by step.
Colormunki - how do I bring the red back?

Clarification
I bought a new monitor (Asus PA280) and have it connected to my laptop. I've calibrated a good 20 times tonight and no matter what I do it's not matching my prints. My prints have more contrast and skin tones are much rosier in them. After calibration skin looks pale. Also, the Colormunki is automatically adjusting contrast. It's not prompting me to do anything other than adjust brightness.
