Why do you set the white point to native instead of d65

Prints are darker

I have test prints from my lab to compare to the mbp haven't hooked up external monitor it's not hdmi

I have test prints from my lab to compare to the mbp haven't hooked up external monitor it's not hdmi plus I just recently found out my mbp had an Adobe rgb profile setting should I calibrate in that profile will that be edifying in Adobe rgb that way no new monitor

I sold my imac was gonna use my MacBook Pro to edit photos

I also have that dell 1080p monitor

I have a MacBook Pro 2014 retina 13 inch

I think it would be helpful for up to post a video showing the steps to calibrate some of us understand more visually.

Kinda confused about test prints. Are they printed before or after calibration. If before why am I gonna adjust to bad prints. I'm having a duh moment. Help.
