  1. I have been putting up with this since the end of June so thank you. I greatly appreciate your help with this.
  2. YES! It's much better now. Thank you so much Damien. Now I'm off to do the raw class again for photoshop cc this time.
  3. Ok, we are up and running. I will let the monitor warm up and then do a calibration and see how it goes
  4. Ok so I purchased that monitor I sent the link to you. I have connected it using an HDMI cord and it’s now saying NO DP cable. I have no idea what that means.
  5. Buying a new monitor is not going to fix the problems I'm having with the prints too dark is it?
  6. This might be a silly question but there is no chance it wouldn't be compatible with my computer?
  7. I saw this one on market place Damien. I have no idea what I'm looking for spec wise. Would this be ok? https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/1394547907375349/
  8. Yes on both computers. I tried again this morning.
  9. I've tried multiple HDMI cords and I always get the same result.
  10. I know you are going to scream at me for this but I have to use the old school cable not an HDMI cord. If I use the HDMI cord I get all these coloured lines flickering on the screen and also the icons on the desktop move off to the edge so I can only see half of them. It's been like that since I bought it years ago.
  11. Ok so do you have any idea how to do that? I was going to call geeks 2 u tomorrow.
  12. Ok, I will have to see if I can find someone that can show me how to do that because I have no idea.
  13. I installed the older version of photoshop and it appears to be the same as the new version I know you say you should never view images in the photos app but I'm wondering why it would be a better representation of my print when I do? Any thoughts on that Damien?
  14. Should I install the older version of photoshop and see if it's the same in that?
  15. Sorry that last comment may be misleading. When I bought the new computer I used the old spyder calibrator that I was using on my previous computer which I didn't have a problem when it came to printing. I installed the spyder calibrator on the new computer and my prints were too dark . I think that was the spyder elite. I can see if I can find it if you like I have no idea how to turn it off.
  16. When I bought the new computer I used the old spyder calibrator that I was using on my previous computer but had the same problem with it printing too dark. I spoke to my printing lab about it and they suggested I change to the i1 display pro which I did but it hasn't made any difference.
  17. Yes the colours seem fine, just the blacks are too dark
  18. Would it be worth it for me to install photoshop cs5 on my new computer and see what the same images look like in that program?
  19. Unfortunately no. I shoot in studio mostly with black and white backgrounds. Also I wanted to take your raw class. I did the class a while back but would like to do it again now that I have upgraded to CC but I'm assuming it wouldn't be a good idea until I have this problem with the printing sorted.
  20. Here are another 3. I can give you more if you would like. I don't seem to have the problem when I have a lighter image. I have blacked out her face for obvious reasons.
  21. I have spent about 4 hours this afternoon calibrating and I'm getting the same result with the image being alot lighter in photoshop especially down the bottom of the image. I have checked multiple prints
