Hi Damian, ( Or Advisor), When I open PS, the photo on the screen (for editing) doesn't show up in the background layer panel. Instead it shows a brush. I shut down the computer completely. I think I have reset it to original settings by going to Preferences. Still no luck. Thank you for your help

Hi Damian, I'm making a year book from long ago.(1970). I have all the pictures of the grads but many of them need a lot of fixing. These two are typical. I have tried everything I know (raw filter etc), but some are still not great. Do think they are salvageable? Also, I was adding a vignette to them for interest. Is this a mistake? Many thanks, Jill
