I figured that I'd also be able to tweak it to my liking since I'm adjusting the same things on every run of it :-)

I purchased some presets that I love, however they are using the most current sliders and I took your class back in the day with the 2010 sliders so once I hit the preset I'm kind of lost.  How can I reverse engineer the preset to make it work with my 2010 sliders?

I have a PC laptop running Windows 10 and Lightroom 10. It is under 12 months old, and has 16GB of RAM. Its hard drive has 72.3GB free out of 462GB. The last time I shut down was just before posting this thread. I rarely run a cleanup program.

About a week ago my LR stopped importing photos from my camera (via cable, I do not have a card reader so that's not currently an option to try).  This process worked properly last week and then mid-import I ran out of room and had to cancel the import, clear off a little bit of space, and then it wouldn't work anymore.  I can import from files on my hard drive, but when I choose to import from camera it just spins.

Adobe support says that it's a user profile permissions problem and they cannot help me. Any suggestions on how to fix a permissions issue on a windows 10 pc?

Ah!  I was messing around in settings and went to see if I could manually calibrate and it gave me a warning saying something about a wide gamut....I remember seeing that in your tutorial.  Tried it out and HOLY CRAP!  THAT FINALLY FIXED IT!

Other than being brighter on my screen, the other laptop checks out.

It had been calibrating my previous laptop pretty well up until I switched laptops. Would you like to give it a go on the other one just to see if that's changed?

and I have the colormunki display. 

I got a new laptop for Christmas and was super excited about it being 4k.  Fastforward a few months and I am having nothing but problems.  I can't get this thing calibrated for my life.  Everything is very contrasty and very pink/warm. I've tried changing up the white point and that didn't seem to make a difference.  I'm playing with the luminence, but I have no idea what I'm doing (doesn't seem to be making much of a difference, anyway).  Now I'm desperate because I've got a few actual client shoots this weekend.

Unfortunately, it's been about 6 months since I've ordered any prints, but the last time I did they still matched.

It does match in  Firefox, but still looks dreadful in the other browsers and on my phone (please don't say it's because it's dreadful to begin with). I'm assuming that the majority of people who see the photo are not in Firefox and see a very ashy kid.  Do I just have to suck it up and live with it?

Sorry, yes.  In PS she's nice and warm, and on FB she's ashy.  I just found if I save in JPEG it seems better.  I'd still like to know why it's changing when I save as PNG.

This kid is coming out super ashy.  I can't figure out how to get a screenshot on the new forum (first post since you switched over).  In PS I think her skin looks a lot less...dead.  How do I post my screenshot?
