Hold the bus, I just tried to open a new canvas and it was in greyscale, even though I feel like a goose, i won't delete the post so others can find it if they are a goose as well

I have a problem i'm embarrassed to ask as I've probably hit something stupid..... In photoshop, whenever I pick a colour with the eye dropper, it keeps reverting back to grey. I'll double click the foreground/background swatches button and it doesn't matter what colour I choose, it keeps going back to grey. I've tried resetting the tools, shutting it down and re-opening with no luck. Feeling incredibly frustrated and stupid, please help!

I'm going to have a shot at designing my own logo in photoshop, I was wondering if anyone had any pointers on what canvas size I should use and what format to save in, as well as any other pointers would be greatly appreciated!

Ha ha no that'll be it! I just assumed it kept stamping the same thing! I ended up doing a copy paste from the other side, I obviously have a lot to learn about stamping

On the rocks at the left of the boys feet, when I hover the mouse over somewhere to click it shows different parts of the boys body underneath, if I'm level with his shoulders, it shows his shoulders ect just taking a screen shot now

No, it's copying the boys legs onto the right hand side instead of the rocks that were selected by the boys candles, the more I click up it just stamps in his legs ect, the hardness was just me playing with it to try to get it to stop, it did it when hardness was 0

My clone tool is doing weird things after a reset, I've shut photoshop down and reopened but still no better, any help please? Caps lock is off, checked that
