Hi Brian. I need a new graphics card for my 10 year old HP 420Z workstation in order to run the newer versions of photoshop. Are you able to do a "Dogs bollox", "middle of the road", "bare minimum" recommendation/comparison? (BTW, in the UK, if something is "The Dog's Bollox" it's "simply the best".
Many thanks in advance.

Taking on board what you said about infrastructure, I've gone for the Z6. My D3 is 12 years old. I cannot believe the improvements in noise performance they have made in the timer interval. I have upgraded the firmware. So far I have only pratted around, but I have proper shoots on Friday and Saturday so I'll be sending Damien some pics from the Z6 early next week.
Thank you again

Hi Brian,
Well, I've read all the reviews...
Have you had any "hands on" with either or both of these cameras? Can you put a cigarette paper between them?
Do you have any opinion you'd be willing to share?

Solved! The PS updated had failed, so the Bridge couldn't open PS.

Ha ha! Yes, you're not the first person who has said that. One does become rather uppity about photos, doesn't one?
Well, this one does, for sure...

Couldn't really see where better to post this.
Having "graduated" from Raw and Levels into Skin, I just want to thank you for the difference you have made to my work. The only downside is that I now find myself scrolling through the photography groups I belong to on FaceBook , sucking my teeth and muttering stuff under my breath such as "needs more contrast" "dear heaven, what *have* you done to those eyes" etc etc.

Brian. Thank you so much for taking the trouble to respond at such length. I am convinced! Just need a customer to pay her bill....
I would love to see some photos if that's not too much trouble :-)

Hi Brian,
Do you have an opinion on Nikon's 14-28 f2.8 wide angle zoom?
Looking for something to complete my lens line up - I'm lacking in the wide angle department!

The whole point of buying a workstation was that it would be upgradeable... Although I'm always happy to be told that I'm wrong and it's time to throw in the towel 🙂 I'll check out the spec of the power supply.
I'm using PS 2019 very happily but would quite like to get with the times and have a play!
Thank you so much for your time.
Kind regards
Tom
