  1. This would require a whole revamp of the desk though ?? oh I'm so torn now ???
  2. You mean I could actually get two of these and have a double screen set up for the price I'm willing to pay ?? https://www.mwave.com.au/product/dell-ultrasharp-u2414h-ips-238-8ms-hdmi-full-hd-led-monitor-with-usb-ab53593?gclid=Cj0KEQiA08rBBRDUn4qproqwzYMBEiQAqpznswCYXvxCE-WZjwFKALuJC806HikKG4XhiP9XLc59Mf8aArqG8P8HAQ
  3. thank you, Have read it and will see what I can find..... feel free to link me with some up to date links I was thinking of spending about $400-600 ? Hope that's doable.
  4. Firstly condolences Damien, family comes first. So, my monitor seems to have died all of a sudden. It's not turning on at all, so I guess it's time for a new one.... we had a power surge yesterday and that's the only possibly related incident I can recall but anyway...... where do I start? Is there a list of good monitors rated in price range and Damien starts or something similar? Any help would be appreciated and I'm flying blind and I have orders pending being that awesome time of year? Thanks
  5. Thanks for your help, client has had them framed and is over the moon with them!! Thanks ?
  6. I blurred it as much a fair bit and added some texture to it but the original was way over sharpened and i wasnt sure if any of my work was believable so if need be i can ask the photographer for a less sharpened version Reckon i should add some noise?
  7. Not sure if i described that correctly but i have a client who'd like her MIL put into the her family photo- i said it all depends on the lighting and the setting etc but eventually i was forwarded the hi-res scan of the image and the photos taken by her photographer. This is what I've come up with so far and i'd like to know what else you recommend. It's not my usual line of work as you know but i don't mind a challenge I think the lighting is better when she is at the RHS but it's the man's mum so they might want her on his side... should i even bother? I realize she looks out of place anyway but tell me how bad it is
  8. It's ok ??? I was being hasty. Apologies! Ugh! It's all good!!!
  9. Ok, i've done everything as i used to and even followed both methods to be sure but the calibration just isn't sticking! It all seems good to go but once the patch test is done and i hit next it resets to an awful blue cold mess I cant even save the changes before it resets! Any ideas? The only thing that has changed is the windows update.... could that have anything to do with it?
  10. So do i only have to do the reading as many times as the presets that i have? Cool, normal, warm? and pick the one closest to the target right? coz there's 9 squares
  11. Oh thank GOD! I thought i was going mad or senile or something.... probably that too >_> Thanks
  12. So I've calibrated plenty of times but not for a while, now I'm following the tutorial and the uniformity test is giving me 4 readings not just one as per the pic and I don't know why or what I'm doing. Ive done this one tuning times before but I don't remember even doing the uniformity part so maybe I was doing it wrong *ducking for cover* so any advice as long as it's right and sanctioned by Damien would be appreciated. ?
