Now that this border appears around my image, when I crop it, it goes from "background" to "Layer 0" .. I am still fairly new to PS. I'm assuming I hit a button.

Sorry I did not have the notifications turned on. My camera is a Nikon D750 (24.3 MP)

Can anyone tell me what this border is (White rounded edges)?

After reading something online, I made the mistake of messing with this box. Does everything look ok?

Now that I have calibrated my monitor should I change the SRGB in colour settings to my calibration? This is how everything currently looks... Any other suggestions are muchly appreciated.
