what puzzles me, and i know you have to take everything on the internet with several grains of salt, is that virtually all of the well thought of monitors (including the dell) have a five star rating in the 60's or so. complaints with light leaks, etc. i usually throw out the top and the bottom 5% of ratings on anything, but this issue gives me pause. really appreciate your feedback btw, thx!

Have you recently published a recommendations list for monitors? Am in the market, and most of the leading monitors get so-so ratings from places like Amazon. Thoughts?
