  1. I was working on this one in the RAW class. I thought it was fine but looks terrible to me while I was editing it.
  2. F2.8, ISO 100, 35mm, 1/500
  3. Thanks, I changed it in ACR. Not sure if I need to do the same for PS. Followed the crop directions, hopefully it's right.
  4. Sorry, I'm all over the place today. I figured I would just go ahead and try to remove the noise using this link http://www.damiensymonds.net/2010/07/raw-noise-removal.html I didn't even know this was a thing so, thanks! I'm just not sure when is it pushing it too far? I feel like it lost some detail? Does this mean I need to pull one of them back or an I just crazy?
  5. Thanks Brian. I will get the 8TB version. How do I reformat to NTFS?
  6. Didn't know what section to add this to. I have decided to switch over to PC from MAC at this point in my life. My question now is how do I get all my photos off the MAC and onto the PC? I'm thinking it may actually just be better to get them onto a external HD. Is there a specific process that I would need to accomplish this since I'm going across platforms? These are the two EHDs I am trying to choose from if that makes any kind of difference. https://www.amazon.com/Book-Desktop-External-Drive-WDBBGB0080HBK-NESN/dp/B01LQQHKZY/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=western%2Bdigital%2B8tb%2B7200%2Bmy%2Bbook&qid=1561369174&s=gateway&sr=8-2&th=1 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07NYFZMZL/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_2?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1
  7. The 25” specs say anti-glare. I did look up the color gamut and it isn’t 100% rgb, somewhere in the 90’s. Is that okay?
  8. I am making the switch over to PC from MAC and am in need of a monitor. Is this okay? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01F6V6QIM/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1
  9. Thanks Brian! The I7 would push my budget since I still need to get a monitor/keyboard/mouse/calibrator/external HD as well.
  10. I just got a quote back on upgrading the RAM on my iMAC and the cost is pretty high so thinking of just getting a new computer. I read through some other threads and found this list of recommendations. Besides upgrading to the I7 do the specks on this build look okay? https://pcpartpicker.com/list/9Fz7mq ---------- Intel i7 (or i9 if you can afford it. 16GB RAM at a Minimum - 32GB or more preferred, like 64GB 1TB Hard Drive for the main drive. I don't care how fast that 128GB / 250GB SSD Drive is, it won't to you a damn bit of good if it's full. Of course the bigger the better when it comes to hard drives. Windows updates can be huge, so I would shoot for a 1TB at a minimum, though a person could get away with a 500GB HD. That said, as I write this, 500GB HD are becoming "Too Small" for today's modern Photoshop and 24MP+ cameras. A video card that has separate & dedicated video memory. 2GB - 4GB is fine (like 4GB) and since Adobe's products are using the graphics cards for a performance boost, a video card with 8GB of Video Memory is a good thing. So call it 4GB recommended / 8GB preferred when it comes to Video RAM.
  11. Thanks! I'll get that one, wish I could go bigger than the six but I need to fund a RAM upgrade as well.
  12. Is there a huge difference getting the thunderbolt 3? looks to be about an $80 difference in the 6TB version. so this one then that has the Thunderbolt 3? https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1333861-REG/g_technology_0g05368_professional_hard_drive_6000.html
  13. this is the one I am looking at: https://www.amazon.com/G-Technology-G-Drive-External-4-Port-Accessories/dp/B01MZCMBKF/ref=sr_1_6?keywords=4t+g+drive&qid=1560432360&s=gateway&sr=8-6
  14. MBP is a 2012, I don't use it because the battery won't hold a charge. The iMAC 21.5 was purchased January 2018. For the G drive is 4T enough or should I go higher?
  15. I will caveat that my photo storage is a cluster and I am not super computer savvy. I tried to read through some threads to figure out what I need but really got lost. Is there some place that references recommended external hard drives? I have a iMAC and I would like to get all my current photos off of it and stored externally. I also have a MacBook pro which I no longer use but there are photos on there that are time machined to a Seagate and I'd like to get everything all in one place. I am NOT a professional photographer but I shoot with a 5DM4 so my files are pretty large if that makes any difference. Where do I even begin?
