First Calibration - Room Lighting

Hi guys. This is my first calibration with my Spyer 5 Pro

I have a HP Pavillion 23fi monitor

Do I need to calibrate in the dark (no ceiling light) as its saying the room light is too bright.

 

I remember during my studies, the printing room (with calibrated monitor) always had the light off...

Ideally you don't want stray light hitting the screen.  It *should* be OK with some ambient light, but to be safe, turn them off.

Please follow the instructions Kim linked above. Damien recommends turning OFF ambient light monitoring (the feature that requires you to leave your device plugged in so it can read the room and tell you if it's too bright).
