Red glowing ears

Hi Damien, I have just been trying to follow your tutorial to get rid of glowing red ears and I am a bit hopeless. I have tried adding a hue/saturation layer, when I click colourise the image turns black and white, then when I adjust the sliders I just cannot get anything even vaguely like a normal ear, where am I going wrong? Thanks for your help.

With something like this where the adjustment is going to go over a small portion of the photo and you'll need to fiddle with sliders to match the color, I find it a ton easier to do the masking first, and then fiddle.  So invert the mask of your hue/sat layer, mask it to show up just on the ear (and I would probably do one ear at a time), and then click colorize and fiddle with the sliders.
