Halogie Posted Wednesday at 11:42 AM Posted Wednesday at 11:42 AM Hi everyone, I recently got an ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDP and I’ve noticed a slight blue tint on the left side of the screen. It’s most visible with white or light grey backgrounds (e.g. web pages or documents), and much less obvious (or invisible) during gaming or video playback. A few relevant details: This is my fourth unit, previous ones had worse uniformity issues or even slight curvature. This one seems the best so far, except for this subtle tint. I found this article by Damien Symonds about how to perform a “simple screen uniformity check,” which is part of why I’m posting here. (https://www.damiensymonds.net/simple-screen-uniformity-check/) damiensymonds.net So I’m curious: Have others experienced a similar blue tint on one side of their WOLED displays? Do you think this is within normal panel tolerance for WOLED, or more likely a weaker/damaged unit? How harsh would you be in returning it versus accepting it as “good enough” if it's the best among multiple units? Thanks in advance for any insights or experiences you’re willing to share!
Brian Posted Wednesday at 04:18 PM Posted Wednesday at 04:18 PM This is a 4th defective panel. I would return it and choose a different Make/Model. Monitors that are too blue, will make things look too cool, which then makes you overcompensate warming things up. Don’t live with this problem. Find another IPS Display. 2
