Just realized I forgot to update you. I restarted my computer shortly after your last post and that fixed the problem before even calibrating.  I usually remember to try "turning it on and off" before anything else, but in the chaos of holiday editing, I didn't think to try that first this time. 

No, I'm likely due for a calibration, honestly. I'll plan to do one tonight when I'm able to set it up. 

But, I'm guessing the need for a calibration wouldn't likely cause this?

I should add that this problem is just present in the preview on bridge. If I open in camera raw, the colors are correct.

Any idea what is going on here? This is the same image in both Bridge and Photoshop.  For some reason my bridge colors are looking off, maybe green? My print matches the photoshop version and it is in the correct color space.  I believe you've had me match white balance from the bridge previews before, so I know these two should be matching.

It mostly did, but I did adjust the red channel a tad to make it match better. Thank you!!

I've gone through the rest of the session today and have cloned as much as I am able to remove the glare from the rest. These two are the only ones left that I was unable to remove the glare well with cloning.  Will the channel mixer work to remove the rest in these?

I think it worked well, thank you. I did need to do a little cloning and patching in the shadows on the right.

I know I have seen in the past where it was possible to remove the glare with the color mixer (I believe that is what it is?). I guess I was originally averse to cloning bc if it's possible to be done that way, I was thinking it would look better/more seamless than cloning, particularly for her eyebrows?

Is it possible to remove this glasses glare without cloning?

Did you basically use a combo of levels and color mixer to change the color of the background around his hair to match that grey and then use the last layer to fill in the rest without having to come too close to the edge of his hair?

I'm not sure that I fully understand what you've done here...between the color mixer...and with the levels did you just adjust the output levels on each color? and was nothing carefully selected with the edges of the hair?

What would be the best way to select his hair to remove the cars and the bright area in the background? I have tried a few times to follow your instructions for replacing a background behind hair and just using this image with that area cloned with the grey concrete around his hair. The issue I believe I am running into is when I turn the background white, it also turns the highlights in his hair white and as a result there is the grey background showing up throughout his hair. This wouldn't be an issue if I could just mask off that area of his hair, but it is also present along the edges.

I was very confused when I did this and it turned everything sepia, but I believe I have figured it out. I need to invert the mask and paint in just on the glare, correct?

Just a question out of curiosity...I know this class will last as long as it takes to get it right on my end, but can you offer any sort of insight on how long I should expect to be at this stage of the training if I work at it regularly and don't disappear for a few months like I see you have happen sometimes? lol. Not trying to rush the process, just trying to manage my expectations on the timeline. I feel like I am going through a midlife editing crisis ?. I've found that editing the raw files properly on my current client galleries, and then trying to edit in photoshop without learning how you handle processing after ACR is not going well for me at all and my colors are looking disgusting to me.

Ok, my screen matches my prints as closely as I think it will now!

I noticed you did not adjust the x and y values equally in your example. Is there a certain rule to follow here? Should you always adjust y more aggressively than x? Will one value bring you closer to the warmer tones of the pink instead of the cooler ones? (based on the color graph in your example)
