  1. I gave up on the Lenova computer and two days ago purchased this computer recommended by Brian http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1183450-REG I have calibrated twice following your directions for the Spyder5Elite. I actually have the Spyder4Elite but there were no directions from you on that model. I did not see any difference at the end when checking the test photos for calibrated and not calibrated. That was not the part that worried me however. What is worrisome to me is that I am not able to see your "Toggle" profile turn the awful yellow color it would turn on my old old computer. Nothing happens when I toggle back and forth between your profile and my new profile. Do you think this is a Window 10 issue? The prints I compared were really close to my monitor. I just worry I will not be able to tell if my computer does not hold on my new profile. I know with my old one Windows would not hold. That was windows 7.
  2. Thank you Brian. I ordered the one you linked above. I appreciate your expertise in this matter.
  3. Brian, I did check the threads and saw the Asus 17.3 inch ROG model. I also saw a 15.6 inch Asus that looks as if the difference is size only. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1183449-REG/asus_gl552vw_dh74_i7_6700hq_16gb_1tb_128ms3_windows_10_64_15_6.html Would you recommend this was as well as the model in the thread above?
  4. Thanks. I do use a 27 inch monitor for the editing. Not the actual laptop screen.
  5. Yea, I am screwed. I paid $1400 for this laptop two months ago. I contacted Lenovo support and they said the driver cannot be changed/updated and it is not going to work with my monitor. I do need the Nividia dedicated graphics. They were unable to suggest a work around. I am now in the market for a new computer... again! Help me. I saw on another post you recommended an ASUS that is $1600. Is that still your pick for a laptop?
  6. Thank you Brian. Damien did respond to my question about the calibration.
  7. No I have not. I will do that to see what happens and get back to you.
  8. I purchased a Lenova Yoga 900 two months ago. I have an HP ZR2440w monitor. I have calibrated twice, and downloaded your "toggle" profile. My screen does not change no matter what profile I choose. I used to get the awful yellow-green look from your "toggle" on my old computer, with this new one nothing changes. I calibrated with the Spyder 4 Elite and followed your instructions. This new computer has an Intel HD Graphics 520 rather than a Navidia driver. I was told by a friend this may be the reason and also an issue that will not let the calibrated profile show. Can you shed some light on this and tell me a solution if there is one?
  9. I purchased a Lenovo yoga 900 computer. Ive downloaded my HP monitor driver. When I try to download Intel graphics 520 driver from Intel it tells me manufacturer specific driver is installed and could cause an issue. I am able to go thru the calibration but The issue I'm having is I cant change profiles. I have installed Damien's profile to toggle and I see no change. Here is what Photoshop says its using... NumGLGPUs=1 NumCLGPUs=1 glgpu[0].GLVersion="3.0" glgpu[0].IsIntegratedGLGPU=0 glgpu[0].GLMemoryMB=1024 glgpu[0].GLName="Intel(R) HD Graphics 520" glgpu[0].GLVendor="Intel" glgpu[0].GLVendorID=32902 glgpu[0].GLDriverVersion="20.19.15.4326" glgpu[0].GLRectTextureSize=16384 glgpu[0].GLRenderer="Intel(R) HD Graphics 520" glgpu[0].GLRendererID=6422 glgpu[0].HasGLNPOTSupport=1 glgpu[0].GLDriver="igdumdim64.dll,igd10iumd64.dll,igd10iumd64.dll,igd12umd64.dll,igdumdim32,igd10iumd32,igd10iumd32,igd12umd32" glgpu[0].GLDriverDate="20151118000000.000000-000"
  10. I have a PC laptop running Windows 10 and Photoshop cc. It is under 6 months old, and has 16GB of RAM. Its hard drive has 306GB free out of 433GB. The last time I shut down was earlier today. I rarely run a cleanup program. What is this? Should I be setting up a regular schedule for this? Thanks, Kathy
  11. Yes it is still not right. I change the resolution to 1600 x 900. The change does not hold. It keeps reverting back to the default. I am having a friend come over to take a look. In the mean time I am looking at the monitors you listed. Hope to have a new one soon. I appreciate your response.
  12. Damien it was better. I changed it to 1920 x1080 which was what my old computer had. It is much better. I hope it keeps this. When I shut down and open it will default back. I think I figured it out. TY.
  13. I found the default resolution. It was 3200 x 1800. I am currently using a Samsung 23 inch monitor. I am replacing that very soon as I want the IPS.
  14. Yes Brian the resolution was set very high. That was the default setting. I think it was around 3200 x ? Can't remember. I lowered it to 1600x900. Is there a better setting? This is so confusing to me.
  15. New laptop as of two weeks ago. Very frustrated with Window 10. I am used to Windows 7. I have not been able to get text and objects to appear bigger. I have it connected to a monitor. When I open PS cc everything is so small I can't even see what tool I am using.
