  1. I have read Damien's "What monitor" section and the two Dell monitors he has recommended have been discontinued. I have seen you, Brian, recommend a particular model that I can't find here in Australia. I am wondering if you would recommend this one? http://accessories.ap.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=au&cs=audhs1&l=en&sku=210-AEBM
  2. I had planned on building it - the quote I posted above was from a computer builder. I use LR a lot at this stage so need fast and a lot of storage space. How can I improve the quoted build?
  3. The link to your Dell for the hobbiest and the official is the same
  4. Ok. By "fine" it's just ok? How can I make this "great"
  5. On my screen the sky is Purple Blue and the water is white/yellow and less vibrant. On my print, the sky is darker blue and the water is more orange and very bright.
  6. The colour is similar to my prints except for pink. There is more pink on my screen (on the water and sky) than on my actual print.
  7. I'm not really sure what I am looking for. I have had my monitor too bright - I have darkened my monitor to match my prints, I feel my prints are too dark.
  8. i1 Display Pro XRITE I am following Damien's instruction manual exactly, but on my screen there is no white point, luminance, ambient light or flare control? What do I do?
  9. Thank you so much. Here is a quote I've just received - can you advise me on whether this is what I need please? I really appreciate your help!
  10. Good question - sorry, yes I would need a monitor too in that budget I have a calibrator though if that helps. Also in AUD if that makes a difference.
  11. Please help me, my brain is about to explode! I am trying to organise a computer build and am getting more and more confused! I have a budget of about $2500. All I know is I need 32GB RAM and an SSD or two? Could you please please give me exact details of what I need so I can organise a build? Thank you so very much!
  12. I have just read through your removing noise from Raw info. I have on the luminance and colour as advised. I have also been told that luminance and sharpening go together, and that they must equal 100 together. So if luminance is set at 45, sharpening is 55. Can you please advise where "sharpening" comes into play please. Thank you.
