Dont worry i've found the problem. I did a windows update and it turned on adaptive brightness on the laptop. I've turned it off and its stopped. Sorry Damien!

Yes thats right. Both in ps, one opened through acr one opened directly.

Just my laptop screen, one is a jpeg one is a raw file. First time I've noticed it but I think it happened when I first bought the laptop so not sure what I did to fix it. Just clicking with the mouse.

All data is on data and c drive is purely program files so i'll run the cleaner and see what it does. Thanks Brian

Can I ask why 150GB is bad? Thats almost half of the hardrive free? There's a second one that is 333GB free of 537GB. So one for C drive and on for a data drive. What should it be?

Sure can: I have a PC laptop running windows 8.1 and Photoshop CC. It is under 2 years old, and has 12GB of RAM. Its hard drive has 150GB free out of 372GB. The last time I shut down was earlier today. I have never run a cleanup program.

Hi Brian, I have an asus laptop less than a year old. I had cs5.5 installed and it ran with no issues and was fast too. Fast forward to downloading cc and its running so slowly it may as well be backward. I uninstalled cs5.5 and all associated programs (bridge and creative suite). Where do I start looking for what might be making this happen? Its driving me nuts.

No unfortunately. Once you confirmed my first couple of raws were good I got rid of cs5. I'll run a clean on the printer and see if that helps. I found a thing on how to update icc profiles in ps cc so will try again shortly.

I have them both set to PS manages the colours.

Overly saturated, quite yellow and dark. I had them set up in CS5.5 and never really had a problem however since switching to CC its not great.

Hi Damien, Do you have a tutorial or can you recommend one for installing/loading icc profiles in PS CC? Printing for my own purposes on canon but the colours are terrible

Update to that. If I double click on an individual image it will open in new raw. If I click ctrl r it opens old raw. Am I missing something? Would uninstalling cs5.5 make the prgram default to CC?

The file type associations are showing photoshop cc however still opening with CS5.5. Camera raw preferences are showing the old version of raw.
