definitely wasn't imagination, it happened when we hooked it up to the tv, too (to see if it was maybe the monitor or monitor connection). I just did it again back and forth ten or so times, the first time, it went to the same as I would see it in ACR. I was able to grab a screen shot of it (there was still a blacked out square from it loading or something?) but it went back when I clicked on the screen again after I saved the screenshot.

ok, done, done, and done. Dumped the old datacolor folder, recalibrated and print is looking very similar to the image, print is slightly warmer and darker still. I need to get new prints done of more recent sessions. Prints match contrast and vibrancy of the firefox window; the color isn't as intense in PS as in the print.

I do not have pro lab prints in my hand of the example image. I have a couple others. when comparing, they do not match exactly, the color temperature is off slightly, images are warmer in print and slightly darker. I will work on fixing that. Adobe reset everything and I did a quick cal and didn't match against prints.

as in the example image, I would have toned down the greens some, as personal preference. When I open other images in ACR, those would be the way they should be. The green in the example photo of the birthday girl (and the pink, too) are overdone for me, I would tone them down. But other images look the way they should. Firefox appears to match the print. I have recalibrated several times since this started, thanks to Adobe resetting it

Correct. It darkens it somewhat slightly, but makes it more green.

I will check back tomorrow and see you're reaction to the chicken dinner winner (so strange, right?) Wait. SHIT! I went to click on that screen to try and drag it to my laptop and poof. Washed out again, like it did when I hooked it up to the TV. Crap. Back to the drawing board, but maybe a clue lies within that. I will carry on with the firefox instructions and then head to bed. I was so psyched. What a disappointment it switched back

I am like most people lol. screen 1 is the laptop, screen 2 is the monitor. I use google chrome for a web browser.

Color setting in the edit menu is exactly how you say in your page, when I uninstalled and reinstalled, I went by your article word for word to be sure. (so yes, North America General Purpose 2" Also, when I change the "assign profile" to my own color profile, it gets worse, even more washed out.

There's still a noticeable difference in the contrast, harder to see with your awful green, but not enough contrast in photoshop can be seen!

when I click the "toggle" profile on the external screen with your "toggle" profile, it all turns an awful green color. Toggling between the two doesn't correct the problem when I go back to my own profile

I almost never use photoshop on the laptop, but since this whole thing started, when I have had PS on the laptop screen, I have never seen a difference in colors. They've always stayed the same in ACR and preview windows as it's been in photoshop. Only the monitor has ever done this.
