I think I need more practice on shadows, I even tried the odd blob edit, like you did on that example psd yesterday, on areas that looked uneven on the right hs of the backdrop but I don't think I did a great job   Need a break for a bit tho, the lamb needs feeding.

oh yeah even just the dodging gets rid of quite a bit

yep just wasnt sure if it needed dodging as well as covering 

so would you dodge the darker red areas or just shadows?

I don't think I've posted this one for a levels check yet (I've posted so many of these blimmen chair ones) if I have feel free to ignore it but I have a question about the neck.

There's like a dribble rash there, I did try the healing brush but I think it's a bit too big of an area.  Would you be inclined to do a colour fill to balance out the red?

I was just wondering because if the case for not cropping was only because the pixels were lost, then if you don't actually delete the pixels doesn't that remove that problem.  But maybe not clicking 'delete pixels' does something else that I'm not aware of.

I was thinking if I ever had a background that I had to clone a pattern out, it would help me better vizualize the balance of the flowers or whatever or for when adding a vignette so that it was balanced properly.

oh why? doesn't that just mean that the pixels are still there if you decide you need a different crop?

When you wrote that article did PS have the option to unclick "delete cropped pixels"?

And if it didn't, now that we have the option to non-destructively crop could it now be included as part of the editing workflow especially if we used the 11x15 ratios?

Ah I know I'm so slack, I just don't know what to post lol your Raw class made me work harder in the studio to get everything as sharp as possible and your processing sheets work so well - I nearly posted one where my lights didn't fire in the studio but I couldn't get rid of all the colour noise in the shadows so I decided they were goners lol.  Ok let me see what I can post.

Sorry do you think you could be a bit clearer?

Having just joined the RAW class (up to module 12) I have just completed my first attempt at following your RAW editing instructions (btw I'm finding it to be a very well put together and helpful course and intend to implement the recommendations right away) .  

After editing in RAW and then doing my photoshop work (just a little skin work, fixing the floor and USM) I felt that I hadn't quite got the overall exposure right (technically it may have been ok but I felt it needed to be a tad brighter).  

As I had already done the cloning work on the floor I opted to use the Camera Raw filter's shadow slider to brighten the image.  My question is (ideally I know I should have got it right in Raw to start with and that the Camera Raw filter isn't really Raw)  would you think that would be enough reason to go back to Raw proper to make the needed adjustments and redo my photoshop work for a small adjustment like that, or would it be acceptable to do what I did? Or would there be an even better way?  I'm hoping as I get better at my raw editing this situation won't arise but I guess even advanced editors sometimes miss something.
