Cin Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 Hi there, I haven't posted in quite a while. I have 7 images from a newborn photo shoot where I have to remove/fix/clean up poo stains on the outfit. Normally I would clone and patch this on a blanket or backdrop but it is on her outfit so the texture and sheer fabric is making it difficult. I have included a number of the images so you can see the varying degrees of what needs to be fixed. Any advice on how to tackle this would be greatly appreciated.
Damien Symonds Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 Hi Cindy, nice to see you. I'm playing with a recipe that might work. Go ahead and do your raw processing on maybe three of these photos, then post them again, each with a 100% crop.
Cin Posted March 19, 2017 Author Posted March 19, 2017 Apologies for the slow reply Damien, sidetracked with the kids. Here are the raw processed 100% of the 3 images.
Damien Symonds Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 Don't mention it. May I have the whole photos as well?
Damien Symonds Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 Please please PLEASE sign up again. Clearly much has slipped your mind. However, for now, let's persevere with what you've given me. I have to take the kids to school just now, I'll post again as soon as I get back.
Cin Posted March 19, 2017 Author Posted March 19, 2017 Thank you! I will go back and review my notes while you are gone.
Cin Posted March 19, 2017 Author Posted March 19, 2017 I just realised what I did...reading back through my notes I adjusted to the skin tone but I have a clear note made saying not to do that. Silver lining of the original problem...forcing me to go back and read my notes. SORRY!

Damien Symonds Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 I know it's not perfect, but this is the best I can manage. Do you think it would suffice?
Damien Symonds Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 May I have one more 100% crop to see if my recipe works there too?
Damien Symonds Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 Yep, I think this might work, eh? Stand by, I'll upload a PSD ...
Damien Symonds Posted March 19, 2017 Posted March 19, 2017 Download the PSD file The first layer, Channel Mixer, should be the same for every photo. The second one, Dodge and Burn, will need to be manually done for each photo, and will take the longest time of the whole process. Still, it shouldn't take too long. The top layer, the colour one, will also need to be tweaked a little for each photo. Let me know how it goes.
Cin Posted March 19, 2017 Author Posted March 19, 2017 I definitely will. I can't thank you enough Damien! 1

Cin Posted May 18, 2017 Author Posted May 18, 2017 Hi Damien, did you want to use one of these photos for the post in your link above? I am more than happy to supply one if needed.
Anna-Lena Ström McGrath Posted May 24, 2017 Posted May 24, 2017 PSD no longer available...Maybe because you are using this particular example in the class?
