Nancy K Posted March 6, 2016 Share Posted March 6, 2016 I've been having sporadic issues with the built in card reader on my XPS 8700. Sometimes I can insert the card and no problem, reads the card just fine. Other times it won't, no matter what I do. I have tried reinserting it numerous times, restarted the PC, shutdown and restarted the PC. Won't work. Try a few hours later, works fine. I can put the sd card in the slot in my printer and it will read it every time. I just purchased my PC in July or August. I can't find any mention of this problem on Dells' website. Brian Posted March 7, 2016 Share Posted March 7, 2016 It's probably a flaky card reader. Two choices: 1. Contact Dell and get a replacement if it's in warranty. 2.
