Replacing white background

I'm replacing the white background with the blue (not by choice, I would have told them to reshoot). I'm having such a hard time getting rid of the white behind her hair. Included is my best attempt but I've cut off A LOT of hair. Any help?

I did but the blue on the hair looks strange. I figured the hair is too light?

In that case, go with the "haircut" one that you did.  In actual fact, the hair looks fine.

What DOESN'T look fine is all the wisps left on the jacket, if you know what I mean.  You'll need to clone out a lot of those, so it looks realistically like the hair is flowing neatly down her head and onto her body.
