Christina Lockhart
My old laptop died. I ordered a new desktop and monitor, and tried to calibrate it with my Colormunki Display calibration tool. I followed your instructions, like I always did with my laptop. 3 times I calibrated. 3 times it went through all of the screen colors, and once it gets done with that, it goes to the screen that says, "Create profile" and shows the profile name. It never asks me to adjust the contrast, or try to get the arrow in between the lines for the best results. Any ideas? I'll try to contact the X-rite company tomorrow, but wanted to ask here in case you, or anyone else, could help me with this.
Damien Symonds
Hi Christina, what make/model of screen is it?
Christina Lockhart
https://www.amazon.com/Asus-VS239H-P-23-Inch-1920x1080-Back-lit/dp/B005S0XYKK?th=1&psc=1 It's this one, just the 21.5 inch size. I tried to use your list of recommendations to ensure I purchased a better one.
Damien Symonds
Lovely. And it's hooked up to a desktop computer, running Windows 10 I assume?
Christina Lockhart
Yep. Here is the computer I got. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N5SXZY8/ref=tsm_1_fb_lk
Damien Symonds
Well, that all looks great. So you're saying it didn't stop here or here?
Christina Lockhart
Nope. As soon as it was done with the different colors, it went straight to this. So I immediately tried it again, and it did the same thing. It did it a third time as well.
Damien Symonds
But you'd definitely chosen 100 like this?
Christina Lockhart
I did. I'll try again after I get my kiddos to bed. Hopefully it just glitched and restarting the computer again will help. I'll update you later. Thank you so far!
Damien Symonds
I don't know if restarting the computer will do it. You might need to uninstall and reinstall the software, I fear.
