airborne25p Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 Hi Damien! I was wondering how the artist got that matte look on the skin and eyes in the photo. I have attached a recent photo of my daughter that I'd like to see if you can get close. Thank you so much!
Damien Symonds Posted July 20, 2017 Posted July 20, 2017 Hi Sean, I don't know what you think "matte" is, but this is definitely NOT matte. It uses the full tonal range (the blacks are black) and if anything, the skin is shiny, not matted. All I see is a slightly over-warmed photo. Is that what you're referring to as well?
airborne25p Posted July 21, 2017 Author Posted July 21, 2017 Yeah, I wasn't sure what to call that look. Maybe it is a lot of D&B that give the effect of looking like a painting? Maybe the photo submitted wasn't the best to use as an example.
Damien Symonds Posted July 22, 2017 Posted July 22, 2017 No, the SOOR please. Raw work done, but no PS work yet.
airborne25p Posted July 22, 2017 Author Posted July 22, 2017 That is. Just a wb, exposure and noise reduction. Then saved as a .jpeg in PS. No additional work done at all.
