Separating colors into layers for screen prints

I cannot figure out how to separate the gold "PAIR A DICE" out of the black outline into it's own layer along (I actually need to change it to blue but i can do that easily once it's separated.) Ultimately, This needs three layers....the Adventure, "n", PAIR A DICE, and dice outlines in black; the Adventure shadows and dice dots in gold; and finally the PAIR A DICE inside coloring in blue.

Unfortunately, even though it's a piece of cake in Photoshop, it's almost impossible in Elements.

Therefore, please just send me the high-res file and I'll quickly do it for you.

Did you create the design yourself?  Or did someone else create it for you?
