How can I make the apple in this picture glow orange - like a light - with a bit of light spill around it.

As if it's a source of light, do you mean?

Yes exactly.

If it's going to be possible (and I'm deeply skeptical) there can't be those black shadows.  Start again with your raw processing, without ANY black clipping.

Ok -this is a composite with two pictures brought together.  I'll start again with the original with out the background and see what you think.
