nchilders87 Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 I never shoot in harsh sunlight, with yesterday being an exception. I was not even thinking about the sun causing a glare and I am so upset with myself. I have tried de-hazing, cloning, and the patch tool. Do these just need to be tossed? The youngest brother has autism and is usually afraid of cameras but he did so good yesterday and I would hate to attempt a re-shoot and him not want to do it. Is there ANYTHING I can do? Or can anyone help me save them?
Damien Symonds Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 Let's deal with the first one first. May I see a 100% crop of the face? Here are the instructions: https://www.damiensymonds.net/2013/09/grabbing-700x700px-100-crop.html
Damien Symonds Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 You did it perfectly, thank you. Can you give me a few minutes to see what's feasible?
Damien Symonds Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 In the meantime, you have a MUCH more serious problem to fix. Please follow this all the way to its end: https://www.damiensymonds.net/art_tscs000.html
nchilders87 Posted November 27, 2017 Author Posted November 27, 2017 I am hunting for the blue link to change it but I don't see it?
nchilders87 Posted November 27, 2017 Author Posted November 27, 2017 Got it! I figured it out! That has now been switched.
Damien Symonds Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 Great. Could you re-post the photo for me to check?
nchilders87 Posted November 27, 2017 Author Posted November 27, 2017 Was not sure if you needed whole photo or the up close of face again?
Damien Symonds Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 That's perfect, thanks. This is the best I can offer. Copied (and flipped) the better iris from left to right, and a little bit of cloning to take away a bit of the remaining glare. It's not perfect by any means, but at least both irises are there?
nchilders87 Posted November 27, 2017 Author Posted November 27, 2017 It looks much better! Silly question, but how do I attach it back to the photo?
Damien Symonds Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 No, you can't, sorry. Once the photo has been saved on this forum twice, it's had double jpeg compression and the quality is very poor. You'll need to do it yourself. Hold on ...
Damien Symonds Posted November 27, 2017 Posted November 27, 2017 Download the PSD file You can take a look at my layers to see how I did it, then reproduce the steps on your own file.
