Brenda BB
I have a mid 2010 MacBook Pro laptop that I am trying to calibrate with a Spyder4pro. I have followed your directions exactly and each time I end up with a very yellow screen. Skin looks extremely yellow and does not match my prints at all. Please help! Thank you. Damien Symonds
Hi Brenda, take a look at the troubleshooting section at the bottom of the Spyder 5 Pro instructions. They're not identical, but should give you some clues to try. Let me know if anything helps. How long have you had both the calibrator and the laptop? Brenda BB
I just bought the laptop used.( it's from 2010) The calibrator I have had for about 3 years and have calibrated my desktop successfully with it. I will take a look at the above advice and let you know, Thank you
Damien Symonds
Do you still have your desktop computer as well?
Brenda BB
I do have my desktop still. So tried it again with the white point at different values and I still get this nasty yellow screen no matter what. Not sure what do do now? Damien Symonds
Ok, let's plug the desktop screen into your laptop and calibrate that. If it calibrates successfully, we'll at least know that the calibrator is still ok, and works ok with the Mac OS.

Brenda BB
Sorry I'm just now getting back at you. The extension to my monitor is a VGA on both ends. Not sure how I can connect to my MacBook? I do know that it calibrates my desktop with no issues.
Damien Symonds
No, sorry, I didn't mean the cable. I meant the actual monitor. Does it have any other ports, apart from the VGA one?
Brenda BB
The monitor has not USB ports it has the VGA and another that also looks like a VGA type port

Damien Symonds
Those specs, under "Video Input", say that the monitor has a DVI port. Can you find it on yours?
Brenda BB
I do see that, I don't have a cord for it though
Damien Symonds
Luckily they're not very expensive. You'll need a DVI to DisplayPort, or DVI to Mini DisplayPort, depending what your Macbook has. DVI to DisplayPort DVI to Mini DisplayPort
Damien Symonds
Alternatively, you can consider upgrading your calibrator, I guess, to see if a newer one will work better on the Macbook screen. But since it's an older screen, I don't think a newer calibrator will help, to be honest.
