Before we start, I need to know that you are aware of the two differences that will make a significant difference between your photo and hers:

  1. Hers has leading lines going towards a logical area of light in the background.  Yours does not.
  2. Yours has lots of light area (snow) at the bottom of the photo, which hers does not.

As such, your photo can never have the same "feel" as hers.

yes, I knew that the light was probably not going to happen because I didn't have a "place" for it to come from.  That does look good...  how did that happen?  lol

well.. now I just don't know... maybe it just doesn't work on this photo.    I am going to that spot soon for a session any tips that you can give to get a shot that I can try to achieve that look with?
