I'm not sure which method to follow for calibration as although this is an external monitor I cannot find info on colour presets (warm, normal,cool). Do I calibrate like a laptop?

Yes, essentially it's a laptop screen.

Ok great. I've done that and my screen looks brighter than prints although white point was 6663k and luminance 99. Do I drop target white luminance to 90? Also they seemed to have a slight pink hue in print but not on screen.
