Dark skin around eyes

Hi, I recently did a shoot with the model facing the sun. I did not have my assistant available to hold a scrim. As a result the models face is dark around her eyes and mouth. I have tried to lighten it up but it looks terrible. Can you please help?

Did you shoot raw?

Terrific!  Then go ahead and follow the flow chart and do your raw processing.  That will take care of the problem to a degree.  Then post the SOOR and we'll talk about the eyes.

I am done processing as best i can but when I try to upload the image it keep saying the file is too large. I have reduced the size and I still get the same thing.

How are you "reducing" the size? And how big is the file currently?

I tried making it a 5x7, the info page says its 1.3mb

Now it uploads. I have no clue why it would not let me do it earlier.

But gosh, this will be REALLY hard.  It would be much easier to arrange a re-shoot.

Thank you. I was told that by someone else as well. I will be shooting with her again soon. I liked the photo except for that.
