ShannyB
Hi there, Is there a way to set my PS CC so that all images open with a resolution good for printing? I'm kind of confused because the JPG's in my 5D Mark III seem to be creating images that are 72 dpi. I lost my RAW files in a corrupt card todayUnless that is just how PS is opening them. I am attaching a few images showing the items that I see on my screen.
Damien Symonds
Why PPI doesn't matter.
ShannyB
Thank you! That is what I didn't understand. I thought that if a client blew the picture up big size, it would matter. I thought all prints had to be 300 or more.
Damien Symonds
Yes, prints do. But your files aren't prints, they're just files. When you get to the output stage, you'll crop to size at 300ppi (or whatever resolution your lab requires) as usual.
